Donating your time is a generous gift to those who benefit from the work you do and the help you provide. Your time is valuable, and whenever you choose to give your time in service to someone or some cause, it goes a very long way. There are several ways in which you can donate your time for GivingTuesday. You can:

Giving doesn't always have to be about money or things. It can simply be about your time and attention. You can offer yourself to a charity to help serve other people or to help complete a task that will benefit others.

This is similar to volunteering with a charity, only it's helping someone more specifically who may need you. This could be a stranger or someone you know.

This time of year is almost exclusively dedicated to spreading love, and you can spread love by offering an encouraging word to someone who may need to hear it.

Why Is Giving Tuesday After Thanksgiving?
We can't assume that Giving Tuesday just happens to be after Thanksgiving by coincidence. Giving Tuesday could be scheduled so close to Thanksgiving because people are already in the mind of practicing gratitude, and Giving Tuesday allows them to give back to the people around them, their communities, and others who may be in need. I like to believe that Giving Tuesday is scheduled this way with intention. And because of this, I like to be intentional about giving my time, attention, energy, and resources to others. I encourage you to do the same on a regular basis.
